Brem has been a licensed medical professional for 23+ years. After years of working in hospital emergency rooms, Brem discovered that he had developed PTSD. After searching for a way to treat his PTSD he came across Ketamine Therapy which was a life-changing experience for him. Brem has now dedicated his career to helping others overcome mental health challenges through Ketamine Therapy and leads the KetaKalm team. Ketamine has been used in clinical settings as a general anesthetic since the 1960s. The dose of Ketamine used for therapeutic purposes is significantly lower than the doses commonly used in hospitals and clinics across the world for sedative purposes. In addition to being a safe medication, we implement the safeguards below to help ensure your treatment is a positive experience.
- You will receive a thorough Medical Evaluation by one of our board certified and licensed Clinicians prior to starting your Therapy.
- We will educate you regarding every step of the Therapy Process beforehand and walk through preparation checklists with you.
- A member of the KetaKalm Care Team will remotely monitor your first sessions.
- We require our clients to have a Support Person of their choosing physically present for their treatments to assist you with basic tasks (walking to the bathroom, getting water, etc). We remain in contact with your Support Person throughout your treatment.
- We will start your first few treatments at a lower Ketamine dose as you become comfortable with how your body responds to the treatment.
- We use gentle onset lozenges which take effect much more gently than IV or Intramuscular Ketamine while still remaining as effective (plus you don't have to deal with needles).
- We monitor your blood pressure throughout your therapy.
